By Mike Cook
VISIT TO SUNRISE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN LAS CRUCES IS FEBRUARY 10, 1:00 P.M.
LAS CRUCES Ð "Cowboy Ted", a national spokesman for tobacco-free rodeo, will present his eight rules for healthy lifestyles at schools in Las Cruces, Hatch and Deming beginning February 9, 2006. They include a visit LCPS' Sunrise Elementary School, 5300 N. Holman Road, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10.
The presentations are sponsored by Families and Youth, Inc. of Las Cruces and the New Mexico Department of Health, Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program, which sponsors Students Helping Others Understand Tobacco (SHOUT) programs for high school students in Las Cruces and Hatch, said Luis H. Soliz, Tobacco Prevention coordinator for FYI.

He has been invited to serve as a spokesperson for the Give Tobacco the Boot campaign in rural communities across the country. He also serves as a spokesperson for the Buck Tobacco program in California," according to Cowboy Ted's website: www.cowboyted.com.
