Cowboy Ted has been involved in education for over 20 years as a student leader, teacher, athletic coach, student government advisor, administrator, sports information director, and alcohol and drug awareness coordinator at the Elementary, High School, Junior College and University levels of education.
Ted also has extensive experience working on television, radio and newspaper and he20served as host of the weekly rodeo report on KRBT, KKAT, K-BULL 93 and Radio Disney 860 am. He has also covered rodeos, including the National Finals Rodeo as a credentialed member of the print and broadcast media.
The former Teacher of the Year for the Upward Bound Program in California and Missouri also serves as an anti-tobacco spokesperson. He has been a communications instructor at Dixie State College, Utah Valley State College and Salt Lake Community College. He also taught PE courses for Utah State University.
CT has a Master of Education degree in Health, PE & Recreation from Utah State University and his master's thesis was related to community education programs for kids. He has made a number of presentations at regional and national health conferences and education conferences across the country.
Ted has received official letters of support from Utah 4-H, American Cancer Society, Utah Federation for Youth, and he served for two-terms on the Board of Directors for Southwest Utah Public Health Department. He currently serves on the National Association of Local Boards of Health's Chronic Disease and Tobacco Prevention Advisory Committee
