The Mission Statement of the Cowboy Ted's Kids Club is simply
stated:
"To introduce young people to positive role models, who
encourage youngsters to choose a healthy lifestyle for themselves,
including
the choice to refuse to use tobacco products."
Children seem
to naturally embrace the wholesome cowboy lifestyle, special to
kids
of all ages in cities across the USA.
The Cowboy Ted's Kids Club was introduced during the Ribbon Week
(Drug-Free Celebration) at Vista School in Taylorsville, Utah in
1999. The Kids Club is the lifelong dream of Cowboy Ted, a popular
radio personality in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cowboy Ted has hosted
the Rodeo Round-Up on KKAT 101.9, KUBL 93.3, KGNT 103.9 and also
the Cowboy Minute for the Radio Disney affiliate in Salt Lake. He
hosted radio programs in California, Utah, and Missouri.
Cowboy Ted has been involved in the field of education, along
with, broadcasting, journalism, and the sport of rodeo for more
than 15 years. It is his dream to combine the passion he personally
holds for each activity into one organization that is devoted to
educating young people about the western way of life, the sport
of rodeo, and healthy lifestyles, including the choice to be tobacco-free
and alcohol-free.
He has enlisted the assistance of his longtime friends and leaders
in the sport of rodeo, along with, professionals from the healthcare
and education industries to form the cornerstone of what is now
known as the Cowboy Ted's Kids Club.
They have made numerous visits to schools, hospitals, libraries,
rodeo events and kids events, to share the message of healthy lifestyles
with young people across Utah, Idaho, California, Wyoming, and Missouri.
The longtime goal of the founder -- is to share the message and
open membership for the Cowboy Ted's Kids Club, to kids of all ages
across the USA.
There is no cost for membership and youngsters are asked to sign
an agreement in order to be a Junior Cowboy or Cowgirl in the Cowboy
Ted's Kids Club. Members pledge to live by the following 8 Rules

have made visits to a host of Cancer camps, hospitals, schools,
libraries and public events, to encourage young people to make healthy
lifestyle decisions, including the choice to be tobacco-free. The
credo of these professional cowboys and cowgirls is...Smart Cowboys
Don't Use Tobacco!
The Goal for Cowboy Ted is to personally touch the life of one
million children in a positive and healthy way during the tenure
of the Cowboy Ted's Kids Club and Cowboys Against Tobacco (CAT)

to schools, kids fairs, rodeo events, horse-related activities,
libraries, and other popular events intended for kids. The hope
is to set a positive example for a tobacco-free lifestyle.
