How to Handle Anger without Violence

Try to remember that most things that make people angry are actually misunderstandings.

The best way to react to the thought of anger is to take a deep breath and remind yourself that it is not a life or death situation. Try and remove yourself from the situation that made you angry and give yourself time to think about it.

Violence and verbal outbursts are never an acceptable way to deal with thoughts of anger. Take a deep breath and relax and try to let the thoughts of anger go away.

If someone does act toward you in anger with violence or threats of violence - you should report it to an adult.

Healthy kids are no accident. Don’t let anger control you. Take charge of your emotions and find a healthy alternative to deal with thoughts of anger.
