Did you know that lots of kids and adults all over the world are overweight?
A true healthy portion size is an amount that is about the size of your clenched fist. Some kids meals are double the proper portion size for kids. Choose Three items that equal three fists to make a complete meal.
Being overweight is hard on your heart, lungs, bones & joints, muscles & tendons and can lead to increased risk of diabetes and heart disease.
To keep your body healthy - make sure to get 60 minutes of exercise everyday – drink lots of water - eat from the five food groups and make sure to choose healthy portion sizes.
Put up your fist and defend your right to be healthy. Remember a healthy portion is the size of your fist.
